What No One Tells You About Weight LossToday, I’m going to tell you what no one tells you about weight loss.

My name is Carla Gardiner, The Fiery Grandma and I help women over 50 to look and feel younger without taking medication or going to the gym. My programs offer a holistic approach using real foods and essential oils alongside me, your coach, and your guide.

Has anyone ever told you that there’s no magic pill? I know they didn’t tell me either. In this episode, I’m going to share with you what I did to jumpstart my weight loss. I have forgotten to tell you for the last five years! Shame on me. What I have to tell you, it’s not what you think.

Before I discovered the truth about weight loss:

  • I wanted to pop a pill, eat anything I wanted to eat, and lose weight.
  • I didn’t want to exercise either. Sound familiar?
  • I didn’t want to change how I think.

Now let me ask you, does that sound realistic to you? It’s where I was five years ago. It’s how I thought. It’s how marketers talk to you to get you to buy into the false reality of losing weight using products they sell, which in and of itself isn’t a bad thing. It’s just that there’s way more to the story than popping a pill or drinking a shake.

Friends, nobody tells you these things. Nobody! They don’t tell you that there is no magic pill. They don’t tell you that you cannot just take a pill, continue eating and living your current lifestyle, not sleeping, running on stress all day, not moving, eating crap, and lose weight. It will not happen.

You have to move. Exercise should be customized to each person. As an example, I have a bad back. Degenerative disc disease makes typical gym exercise impossible for me. I may not be able to exercise like most people, but I can walk. I can move. I can stretch, move, motivate and rotate these muscles and bones to the capacity my body will allow. I can get my heart rate up and burn that fat.

But to think that I can sit on the couch, eat potato chips, binge-watching Netflix, and realistically think I’m going to lose weight? THAT is a big FAT lie!  It doesn’t ever happen.

The next thing is you have to change what’s between your two ears, your way of thinking. That’s the part I forgot to share with all of you. I apologize for that. If you’d like to know how I changed my way of thinking, the secret little weapons that I use send me a direct message, reply to me with your email address and let’s have a conversation.

If you found value in anything, any tip, had a revelation about losing weight, tell a friend about it. Show them how to find me. Better yet,  bring them along, and let’s have a conversation together.

So, friends, I hope I have exposed one of the lies about the things that people tell us about losing weight. I hope you understand that what people don’t tell you is worse than what they tell you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and watch this video. You can find me on Clubhouse every Wednesday, @FieryGrandma, where I talk about all things Wellness A to Z every week, Wednesday, 10:00 AM, Mountain Standard Time. I promise it will be the best 15 minutes of your day. It’s a lot of fun, great conversation, and we all share our expertise.
