How This Everyday Entrepreneur Stays Energized and Happy Without Living in the Kitchen

As an everyday entrepreneur, I’ve worn all the hats … mom, grandma, business builder, snack scavenger, and let’s be honest… professional “lunch skipper.”

There were days I’d get so lost in my inbox, Canva tabs, and follow-ups that I’d look up at 2:37 PM, realizing I hadn’t eaten a bite. Sound familiar? 😳

And don’t even get me started on the blood sugar crashes, foggy brain, and “why am I yelling at the dog again?” moments. (Sorry, Sophie.)

That’s when it hit me:

If I’m not fueling my body, how the heck will I fuel a business built to last?

So I made a pivot.  A small one.

I started treating my wellness like a business tool, because it is.

Think of your body like a car. It doesn’t matter how shiny it looks on the outside … if there’s no gas in the tank or oil in the engine, it’s not going anywhere. Not to the store, your grandkid’s soccer game, and not down the road to success.

You’d never expect your car to run on fumes. So why do we do that to ourselves?

Let’s call it out: starving, stress-eating crackers, or grabbing another cup of coffee isn’t a strategy. It’s survival mode.

But when you treat food like fuel (not just an afterthought), you show up with more energy, more focus, and yes, more patience for the tech that won’t load while being happy, too.
