Prostate Cancer - Drugs Versus Healthy Solutions

Prostate Cancer – Drugs Versus Healthy Solutions
Nothing is scarier than hearing and reading about the C word Cancer. It seems in todays world we have become savvier than ever yet diseases like prostate cancer continue to run rampant. Have you ever wondered why?
Information is great, wonderful and provides us with necessary understanding when it comes to many aspects of living our daily lives. However, if we take in that knowledge and store it in the recesses of our brain only to do nothing more with it what good did it do us?
The medical field, health groups and individuals have been touting prostate cancer awareness, they have splattered it all over the news, in the printed media and now on social media. Surely their intent is good, to bring all of us including our sons, husbands, boyfriends, fathers and uncles to their senses. They want them to pay attention to their bodies, their health and take proactive steps to remain healthy or regain their health.
For whatever reason men seem to avoid going to the doctor many times over women. Therefore, girls listen up”if its to be its up to me” must become our motto. We must pay attention to our guys health using whatever methods we must, to stay on top of any differences noticeable and schedule those check upsbecause the guys will not do it on their own!
So, what is prostate cancer and how can we help the man we love remain cancer free? Here is what I found and have used personally in our family to ward off that nasty C word Cancer.
Prostate Cancer what is it?
According to Wikipedia, prostate cancer is a form of cancer that develops in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system. Most prostate cancers are slow growing; however, there are cases of aggressive prostate cancers. The cancer cells may metastasize (spread) from the prostate to other parts of the body, particularly the bones and lymph nodes. Prostate cancer may cause pain, difficulty in urinating, problems during sexual intercourse, or erectile dysfunction. Other symptoms can potentially develop during later stages of the disease. If you think you have prostate cancer, it's best visting a urologist like the ones at Advanced Urology to identify the diagnosis and to discuss treatment options. It may not even be prostate cancer, but it's always best to check. Wanting to try and combat some of these symptoms, start by having a look at a product such as VigRX Organic Bio Maca that could help with erectile dysfunction while also increasing your sex drive, plus more.
Statistics surrounding prostate cancer surprised me. Worldwide this form of cancer is not as widespread as it is in the United States. Age seems to be a determining factor with most cases diagnosed in men over the age of fifty in developed countries. Hmmm, I wonder why developed countries have such a high incidence and undeveloped countries have little or no cancer. Prostate cancer is the sixth leading cause of cancer related death in men worldwide and in the U.S.A. it is ranked number two only to be out ranked by the number one killer, lung cancer.
The scary part of this form of cancer is many men never have symptoms, refuse any form of therapy and eventually die of other causes. Studies show genetics and diet play a major role in this form of cancer.
What Are the Symptoms of Prostate Cancer?
There are no warning signs or symptoms of early prostate cancer. Once a malignant tumor causes the prostate gland to swell significantly, or once cancer spreads beyond the prostate, the following symptoms may be present:
  • A frequent need to urinate, especially at night
  • Difficulty starting or stopping a stream of urine
  • A weak or interrupted urinary stream
  • Leaking of urine when laughing or coughing
  • Inability to urinate standing up
  • A painful or burning sensation during urination or ejaculation
  • Blood in urine or semen
Treatment options
There is a test called PSA or prostate specific antigen testing. Your family doctor can perform prostate specific antigen testing in his office. This test can detect cancer but it does not decrease mortality. In 2012, the United States Preventive Services Task Force recommended against using this screening due to over diagnosis and over treatment.
A trusted friend retired from the medical field told me that the findings of that task force are true. Many times elevated PSA levels are NOT indicative of positive cancer. So, as with any test, recommendation or medical treatment it is a personal choice and one that should not be taken lightly. Depending largely on what the test findings are and your doctor recommends you should always get a second, possibly a third opinion. Emotions will be running high as we have been programmed to fear the very word cancer and think of it as an immediate death sentence. Many factors enter into each case so take a deep breath, listen carefully and do your own research.
A few traditional treatments medical professionals may suggest could involve surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and cryosurgery. Non-traditional alternatives include hormone therapy, diet change and using nutritional supplements in higher dosages.
Healthy solutions include avoiding drugs that damage your DNA, compromise your immune system, and kill the kidneys, shut down the liver and more. Making lifestyle changes such as eliminating sugar that cancer thrives on, milk that causes mucus and red meat from the diet as well as increasing the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables will help your body fight off cancer on it's own. Increase the amount of exercise you get daily by simply walking an extra few steps at a time. Drink more fresh water eliminating soda, coffee and energy drinks laden with unhealthy sugars.
A leading expert in the healthy solutions to fighting cancer arena is Dr. Max Gerson, who wrote A Cancer Therapy Results of Fifty Cases. This study led Dr. Gerson to discover and use The Gerson Therapy, a healthy solution to cancer treatment that was well-known and used throughout Europe and Asia by well-respected medical professionals. However, since 1926 Dr. Gersons natural therapy was voted down by his colleagues turned senators because of its simplicity, removal of control by the medical community and out right human greed. Don't believe me? Here is a brief look into the research one man has spent his lifetime gathering to share with people around the globe just like you and me.

It is time we took back control of our health and choices. Learning about the underlying cause of disease, oxidative stress will enable us to make wiser choices when it comes to our loved ones health as well as our own.

If you or a loved one has had, may have or know someone who is battling prostate cancer or any form of cancer share this article with them. Knowledge is power and can free us all from the greedy grips of harmful drugs especially when there are healthy solutions nearby.
