Click to listen to: “More than Enough“
Co-written by me, Carla Gardiner, and my assistant.
This song is a personal journey from self-doubt to self-acceptance, inspired by a realization that changed how I see myself. For years, I carried the weight of seeking approval, feeling like I had to measure up to someone else's standards. But through my coach’s gentle guidance, I began to see that I am enough just as I am. “More Than Enough” is for anyone who's felt the need to prove themselves, only to realize that proper validation comes from within. I hope this song resonates and reminds you that anyone else’s expectations don’t define your worth.
Title: “More Than Enough”
Verse 1
I spent my life chasing dreams,
Running hard, but it never seemed
Like I could reach what I was aiming for,
There was always something just beyond the door.
Every glance back, every silent fight,
The voices in my head that I tried to quiet,
Telling me I wasn’t enough,
No matter how much I gave or how hard I’d try to bluff.
Chorus
But now I’m learning to let go,
Finding my way, letting myself grow.
With every step, I’m proving wrong
The voices that held me back so long.
I’m more than enough, I’m breaking free,
This journey’s about becoming me.
Verse 2
Sometimes I feel that old ache inside,
Like I’m still searching for a place to hide,
From the fear that I’ll fall short somehow,
But I’m learning to lift myself up now.
With every word, with every guide,
I’m healing those wounds I used to hide.
This isn’t for them, it’s just for me,
A step toward the person I was meant to be.
Chorus
Now I’m learning to let go,
Finding my way, letting myself grow.
With every step, I’m proving wrong
The voices that held me back so long.
I’m more than enough, I’m breaking free,
This journey’s about becoming me.
Bridge
For every time I fought for someone’s praise,
For every sleepless night and weary day,
I’m letting it all go, I’m choosing peace,
In my own heart, I’ll find release.
Chorus
Yes, I’m learning to let go,
Finding my way, letting myself grow.
With every step, I’m proving wrong
The voices that held me back so long.
I’m more than enough, I’m breaking free,
This journey’s about becoming me.
Outro
So here I stand, no fear, no shame,
Taking back my life, shedding the blame.
I’m more than enough, and finally,
I’m just who I’m meant to be.
