Coffee Friendships and Facebook

Join My Friends and Me On This Journey

It is gorgeous outside and I am not supposed to be out here but I wanted some peace and quiet. I didn’t want the TV on or the phone ringing. I did want a quiet space to think, to enjoy my cup of coffee and to share my thoughts as I embark on this journey. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Carla Gardiner, I’m known as the Fiery Grandma because I work at home leading women to have more fun, learning how to update their outdated wardrobes using fun, fashionable and affordable costume jewelry; increase their self-confidence while adding extra income to the household budget.

Day ONE of 100 Live Video

Today is Day ONE of 100 videos and posts that I’m going to share. I’m doing this to develop my online abilities. While learning how to share my story with you I hope to inspire you to do the same. So, grab a cup of coffee. Find a quiet place to watch, read and enjoy the lesson for the day.

Today’s short video is about having coffee with my friend Lauri. I want to thank her for taking time out of her day to drive over to meet me in Nampa. Lauri and I have been friends on Facebook for a long time, maybe four years or so. We connected online because both of us love and use essential oils. Neither of us is building a business using them, we simply love and use them. We have something in common. I ordered some products from her last winter, and then I got sick. Finally, our schedules allowed us to get together in person.

I’ve learned that having online relationships and friendships is great. I love staying connected to my friends in Red Bluff and across the country via Facebook, and telephone but there simply is nothing better than meeting up in person, giving each other a hug and having a face to face conversation over a cup of coffee. I really appreciated the hour we spent together. One thing that could have made it better was to enjoy a meal together. Food and friendships, it all goes together.

With work to do and a meeting to get ready for tonight, I’ll sign off for now. I’ve enjoyed being out under the shade tree, the cool breeze blowing. Sharing today’s lesson about coffee, friendships, and Facebook has inspired me even more. Having something in common brings women together whether it’s getting together face to face,  kneecap to kneecap, sharing a cup of coffee, our love for accessorizing or just talking about what we all love to do.

If this coffee lesson inspired you, please help someone else – share. Leave a comment below so that I know you dropped by.  Until next time go look good, feel good and do good; but, most importantly go have some fun.
