Coffee – 3 Tips to Lose Weight Enjoying Coffee
This story is written as a result of posting a picture on Facebook. It seems we, you and I are addicted to our coffee. Many people have been asking me how I'm losing weight while drinking such yummy coffee. I asked the same question when I started my health journey back in 2018, too. So, I thought I’d share a few tips with you, 3 tips actually to help guide you to look good, feel good and enjoy your delicious coffee while enjoying your journey to your best life ever.
Tip #1 – Caffeine dehydrates
- If you are like me you don’t realize how caffeine dehydrates the body. So keep in mind that when drinking your favorite cup of Joe (today mine is Highlander’s Grog, yum) simply add an extra 8-ounce glass of water to your daily requirement and re-hydrate* your body
Tip #2 – Peeing flushes electrolytes
- What the heck are electrolytes and why do I need them? That is exactly what I asked, too. Electrolytes are essential minerals our bodies need to thrive and survive. Included in this group of electrolytes are potassium, magnesium, and salt. So, while enjoying your coffee, remember to increase your water and always replace the electrolytes* you are flushing out of your body through elimination.
Tip #3 – Interrupts hormonal function
- Recently I’ve learned that all caffeine, whether coffee, tea or soda interrupts the hormonal function within our body. I don’t know about you, but my hormones were messed up enough without me ingesting too much caffeine…no wonder I was all messed up. Limit your consumption of caffeine to 1-2 cups per day, before 2 P.M. and always, always re-hydrate *(NOT just water! Water absorption is always based on electrolyte balance at the cellular level) to live your best life while enjoying your coffee. Grab the recipe for my bullet coffee here.
So my friends. There you have it. A cup of Joe, whatever your favorite blend and a road map to enjoying without guilt or harming your body and its systems. If you found value with this post please share with your friends you care about. For now, though, it’s time for you to look good, feel good and do good for another; grab your best life and be all you can be.
